Free 2 Be

Pride Richland County hosts a community program fittingly named "Free to be", which is a community support group that welcomes all young adults ages 13-21, no matter their orientation or identity.

Free 2 Be provides support and a safe space. During meetings, there is always an open forum to be able to discuss any topics that are part of everyday life for today’s youth during their time of self-discovery.

Some common topics that are discussed are healthy relationships, validations, body positivity and self-worth, suicide prevention, unrealistic expectations of stigmas and bias, and positive self-talk. If you're interested in learning more about our "Free to Be" program, you can attend a meeting on the 2nd or 4th Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Olney, or reach us by email at priderichlandcounty@gmail.com.

Let them Be

On November 20, 2024 PRC spent National Transgender Day of Remembrance honoring the memory of those who are no longer alive. The day started with members, friends, family, and members of the community volunteering their time and cleaning up Olney's oldest cemetery, Haven Hill.
